The colours of the Georgian era continued to be used in wallpapers, fabrics and paints.
The 1830s saw a revival of Grecian classicism. There were brownish reds, inspired by the discoveries in Pompeii and Herculaneum and also strong reds, blues, greens, yellows, cinnamon and buff, all with paler tints.
This period also saw lighter colours such as lilac or fawn used with bright green.
