Underground rain water reservoir

Postby Mart » Wed Jun 18, 2014 8:16 am

We recently discovered a big rain water reservoir under the kitchen/hall of our mid 1920s detached house..! It's in excellent condition and contained clear water six feet deep.

I wondered if their might have been steps outside the kitchen leading down to a wall flap, to provide access to draw buckets of water for the garden and to get in to clean it out?

Does anyone know of photos on the 'net of these constructions?

Best regards,

Mart
