Wardrobe veneer damage

Postby Saam » Tue Jun 10, 2008 7:35 pm

We just bought a rather nice Victorian Mahogany wardrobe but after delivery damage to the veneer was apparent. Some small chipping but also a longer piece (c. 1.5 x 15 cm) is completely missing.

The courier seems to admit fault and it looks like he will be offering to have it repaired.
I wonder though, does anyone know if it is possible to repair veneer in an acceptable way?
