Laying quarry tiles

Postby nickrudd » Wed Oct 31, 2007 10:22 am

Could anybody please advise the best way to lay quarry tiles. Have extended the kitchen, the extention now has a concrete floor and I need to lay the new (reclaimed) quarry's to match up to the existing floor, would a lime/cement/sand bedding be best or a screed then a tile adhesive? Thanks.

I have to confess to not having put down quarry tiles, but in the abscence of advice from a later poster I would go to one of the tile sheds, such as Topps Tiles, that sell them and ask as though you were buying new ones. In my experience they know their stuff. I know of no reason why you cannot lay a screed straight onto the concrete and then tile - just watch the levels! Good luck. Tim
