Choosing a Range Cooker

Where you want an alternative to the range which is cheaper, less demanding of foundations and flues, and cooks in the same way as a modern cooker, the compromise for the period house owner is the 'range cooker'.

Some look a little like a range with enamelled panels. Others are given a more 'industrial' appearance with steel and black. Choose from gas or electric or combination fuel versions.

For domestic hot water and central heating you will need to add a condensing boiler.
