Edwardian Colour

From the 1890s into the 1900s, rooms were lighter, making an increasing use of whites and creams, with furniture in white picked out with gold, or plain in green or red. This white style was very popular from 1900 until about 1920. Bright whites were available from the 1890s.

The colours below are typical for the Edwardian period and used in paints, wallpapers and fabrics.
